Tawjihi students sit for exams in Jordan

Approximately 207,000 students are signed up to take part in the Tawjihi exams for the summer session of 2021, according to the Ministry of Education. The first exam is scheduled to start at 10am Thursday, which 144,000 students are scheduled to sit for, followed by the second at 1pm on the same day. The Director of the  Examinations Department at the ministry Ali Hammad told Roya that students were asked to use pencils not pens. Notably, the ministry distributed pencil cases containing three pencils, an eraser and a sharpener.

Hammad pointed out that all Tawjihi exams will consist of 50 questions with the exception of three topics, which are Mathematics, Arabic and English.

He pointed out that each student's answer booklet will be corrected by 29 people.

Approximately 52,000 workers from the ministry including supervisors, exam correctors and technicians will participate in the Tawjihi examination process, according to the ministry.

The ministry pointed out that strict health and safety measures will be implemented to protect students and teachers in light of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Minister of Education Mohammad Abu Qdais stressed the need to adhere to the instructions to maintain the integrity of the examination process. He also stressed the importance to comply with health and safety measures in light of the coronavirus crisis.
