The Algerian Council of ministers decided to postpone the baccalaureate and intermediate school certificate examinations and the cancellation of the primary school leaving examination.
The Council of ministers, which met Sunday under the chairmanship of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, decided the postponement, until September, the baccalaureate and intermediate school certificate examinations and the cancellation of the primary school leaving examination.
The Baccalaureate examination will be held in the third week of September while the intermediate school certificate exam will take place in the second week of the same month, said a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic following the meeting of the Council of ministers.
Besides, the primary school leaving examination will be canceled while pupils and students will move up into the next classes in the three education cycles by calculating the averages of the first and second terms and reducing the admission average.
In the same vein, the Council of minister decided to postpone until early October the start of the school year 2020-2021.
