"UKBI Adaptif Merdeka is currently also equivalent to various other language proficiency tests that have been used as an evaluation tool for major world languages, such as IELTS or TOEFL," Nadiem said at the National Dissemination of Indonesian Language Proficiency at the Harris Vertu Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (1/3/2023).
For this reason, Nadiem appreciates the Language Agency which continues to strengthen the position of Indonesian, both as the national language and as the state language with various programs in the fields of language and literature. It was emphasized that it was time for the Indonesian language to be on a par with the major languages in the world.
"As a modern language that is multifunctional and has a large number of speakers, an evaluation facility is needed that assesses the quality of using Indonesian," he said.
Nadiem explained that UKBI Adaptif Merdeka had received a creation registration letter from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights with registration number 000397427 in 2022. This application is equipped with a sophisticated test design that uses the latest internet-based technology platforms, in line with developments in test theory in the form of multistage adaptive testing (MSAT ) . has a high level of reliability with item analysis based on IRT or item response theory , and is able to provide test services in a user-friendly form.
