highlighting our conversation with Ashley Miller, Principal of Marketing Insights & Analytics at Purdue University, about her session "New Pathways to Enrollment
Through High School Innovation". From the session description, Ms. Miller described the impetus and content for her presentation as:
After recognizing that too few underrepresented and marginalized high school students were academically prepared for postsecondary education, Purdue University created a new high school: Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS). Endeavors such as PPHS are examples of coherence, where an institution is living its market position through coherent institutional strategies and behaviors. Learn more about how Purdue University and RHB used key insights to inform strategic enrollment for PPHS.
And when we asked, "Why did you choose to present on this topic?" Ms. Miller stated:
Telling the story of Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) showcases the innovative ways that Purdue University is taking giant leaps to better serve underrepresented and marginalized students in the community. By incorporating key insights from parents and families, this session will give enrollment managers an informed perspective of what this experience means to a student’s overall postsecondary journey and ways in which an institution can better message and support parents and families in their own communities.
