This week we spoke with Danielle Faucett, Victor Price, and Elizabeth Kienle-Granzo about why they decided to host the upcoming webinar "Retention, Retention! How Registrars Support Student Retention." This webinar focuses on the key role registrars play in retaining students and explores what resources are available to university registrars in this area of responsibility.
When we asked Ms. Faucett why she chose to present on this topic she responded by saying:
We chose to present on this topic because retention remains a key issue in higher education and is one of the leading challenges faced by universities today. As Registrars, we collaborate with constituents all across campus and can play a pivotal role in supporting the institution in meeting student retention goals. Therefore, we wanted to share our knowledge about retention initiatives on our own campuses and provide a foundation to discuss strategies for moving forward.
During the webinar attendees will explore how best to provide support to both their institution and the student population and ensure both find success. Additionally, by the end of the webinar attendees should be able to:
- Understand the role Registrars play in student retention
- Understand resources available to aid in student retention
- Understand what impact data can have on the strategic retention goals of the institution
