fafsa calendar information

Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

New Membership Dues Structure - Town Hall 1

January 23, 2024

January 23 2024 | 3:00-4:00 pm ET

On January 23 and February 20, AACRAO will host virtual Town Halls to discuss the new membership structure.  Join the AACRAO Board of Directors and Executive Director for an update on our progress with the new structure, which will fully go into effect with the 2024-2025 membership year starting on July 1, 2024. If you are unable to attend the January 23 Town Hall, an identical (repeat) session will be held on February 20.

At the 2023 Annual Meeting, the membership voted to give the Board the ability to review and change the membership structure.  The new system, approved by the Board in June 2023, will allow for unlimited rosters at member institutions and have a more equitable dues structure based on an institution's total expenditure rather than enrollment.  This first phase of the new structure, open rosters for all institutional members, went into effect in December 2023 and has received an extremely positive response.

We look forward to your feedback and questions on the changes so far.  Please join us by registering for one of the two Town Hall meetings.
