AACRAO is pleased to announce the upcoming 2024-2025 Program Committee changes. This dedicated group is pivotal in shaping the premier professional development event for higher education professionals – the AACRAO Annual Meeting.

Daniel Weber, Registrar and Director of Registrar Services at Oakton Community College is leading the charge for the coming year as Chair. Daniel brings a wealth of experience to the role of Chair, having actively participated in the Program Committee for several years.

Supporting him as Vice Chair is Erin Mason, University Registrar at the University of Utah. Erin's experience as the former Group 3 Program Coordinator, progressional expertise, and leadership will be invaluable in guiding the committee's efforts.

The Program Committee operates with a focus on the diverse needs of AACRAO's membership. Each of the seven key areas within the association is represented by a Program Coordinator, who serves a three-year term.

Joining the Team:

  • Kimberly Sanders, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management at Prairie View A&M University, will serve as Program Coordinator for Group 1 (Admissions and Enrollment Management).

  • Joni Krueger, Registrar and Assistant Vice Provost of Academic Affairs at Augustana University, takes on the role of Program Coordinator for Group 3 (Records and Academic Services).

Continuing their Valuable Service:

Several experienced coordinators will remain in their roles, ensuring continuity and a deep understanding of their respective areas:

  • Group 2 (International Education): Opal Leeman Bartzis, Ed.D., Executive Director of Education Abroad at Michigan State University.

  • Group 4 (Leadership and Management Development): Stacey Tidball, Associate Vice Provost & University Registrar at the University of Minnesota.

  • Group 5 (Access and Equity): Sasha Suzuki, Associate University Registrar at Wake Forest University.

  • Group 6 (Information Technology): Scott Campbell, Associate Vice President & University Registrar at the University of Chicago.

  • Group 7 (Special Topics): Portia LaMarr, Product Manager at The Ohio State University.

The applications for the Vice Chair and Program Coordinator positions underwent a meticulous review process. AACRAO's leadership, including Associate Executive Director for Education and Member Development, Tina DeNeen, Ed.D., current Program Committee Chair, Sam Fugazzotto, and the AACRAO Board of Directors, carefully considered each candidate's qualifications and commitment to the organization's mission.

The Program Committee plays a critical role in crafting a compelling program for the AACRAO Annual Meeting. Throughout the year, they will be actively soliciting session proposals that address the most pertinent issues faced by admissions, enrollment, and academic services professionals in higher education.

By focusing on the diverse interests of AACRAO's membership across the seven key groups, the committee strives to curate a program rich with informative sessions, thought-provoking roundtables, and insightful pre-meeting workshops. This ensures that attendees gain valuable knowledge and best practices to enhance their professional development and navigate the ever-evolving landscape of higher education.

The 2024-2025 Program Committee will begin their planning process for the 2025 Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington after the conclusion of the 2024 Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio.
