This week we're highlighting the #SEM2022 Session "Collaborating to Help Transfer Students Shine" presented by Belinda Harmon, Senior Director of Community Outreach & Transfer Recruitment, and Barbara Smith, Senior Director of Transfer & Transition Student Success, both serving at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Their session focuses on how Strategic Enrollment and Student Success work together, across campus and across the community, to help transfer students shine. Their collaborative efforts in the Transfer Recruitment and Transfer and Transition Student Success Offices, have been key to their work. Speaking on some of the lessons they've learned through their work, Ms. Harmon said:

One thing that we have learned over these extraordinary past few years, is that universities must collaborate and work in different ways to better serve our Transfer students. For example, Transfer students want information in ways that fit their busy lives and not necessarily our traditional work day.  Our session will speak to some of the things we are doing at the University of Texas at San Antonio to help Transfer students shine and reach their graduation goals.

Session attendees can expect to learn:

  • More about various Transfer student populations
  • Ways to recruit and serve Transfer students
  • How to develop partnerships internally and externally

If you haven't registered to attend the 2022 SEM Conference, now is the time. Register today to attend and collaborate with your peers in enrollment management. Also, visit our Community Collaboration page to see more of our SEM 2022 sessions on this subject.
