Group of professionals having a meeting.

AACRAO’s LEAD initiative takes a multi-pronged approach at identifying and preparing a diverse group of enrollment leaders to take on leadership roles to drive the higher education profession forward. The most recent addition to the LEAD program offerings is the 2022 Women's Leadership Institute, hosted in partnership with ACUI and NASPA

The Institute brings together women administrators from across campus functions to help attendees gain a practical understanding of what it takes to be a leader on a college or university campus. The program offers participants the chance to connect with other women leaders to bring to light common challenges and help build a supportive network through which to share future solutions.

Through presentations, small-group exercises, and discussions, attendees will:

  • Apply key takeaways to help others on campus become better leaders

  • Build a network of peer leaders

  • Focus on career advancement and self-improvement

  • Learn from dynamic and accomplished speakers

  • Leave the Institute reinvigorated and motivated

This is a rare opportunity to step beyond an individual’s functional area to focus on career advancement and self-improvement. Higher education faces the effects of the most challenging period in 50 years. Don't miss this opportunity to examine the unique roles, skills, and relationships needed to build a successful path forward.

The meeting takes place from December 6-9, 2022 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, CA. AACRAO members may register for the Women's Leadership Institute at the ACUI member rate.
