Nearly a year ago, AACRAO's newly launched Women's Caucus introduced the Leaders in Enrollment Advancing Diversity (LEAD) Initiative at the SEM Conference in Washington, D.C.. This umbrella program will help ensure current and future enrollment leaders are positioned to help institutions meet the evolving challenges facing higher education.

With the launch of the initiative, the Curriculum Development Committee introduced its first LEAD program: AACRAO Stands by Our Commitment to Nurturers of Diversity (ASCEND). This year-long intensive program partners participants with faculty, coaches, and curriculum aimed at training these mid-level professionals in the competencies required to take the next step in enrollment management leadership.

After reviewing applications and interviewing candidates, AACRAO is pleased to introduce the inaugural cohort of the ASCEND Leadership Development Program. These participants will begin their year-long training at the AACRAO SEM Conference in Dallas, TX ,this November.
