Wondering what is going on with GDPR and the growing number of Data Privacy and Protection Regulations?
From the 2018 Fall Summit of PESC (Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council) attendees saw the need for continued work on several issues. From there a task force was formed in which AACRAO, as a founding and leading member of PESC, was invited to participate.
Over the next few months we will be working with a collaborative group spanning policy, practice & technology. Discussions include topics such as:
- how postsecondary institutions (registrars and admissions officers) and Student Information Systems (SIS) vendors are implementing GDPR;
- standards for the set of data elements required to correctly store GDPR indicators on the student record.
