AACRAO’s College & University and SEM Quarterly journals are seeking submissions for 2021-22. C&U is AACRAO’s long-running professional research journal, which covers general topics of interest to higher education registrars, admissions officers, and enrollment managers. SEMQ chronicles the evolution of strategic enrollment management through peer-reviewed original research and thought pieces. Current topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Test-optional policies and practices

  • Transfer student success

  • Financial aid processes

  • Student recruitment, marketing, and communications

  • SEM planning

  • Institutional budgeting and operational improvements

  • Nontraditional students

  • Access and equity

  • Faculty and administrative partnerships

Other special topics of interest include:

  • Celebrity courses: C&U seeks input on a potential upcoming article about higher education courses connected to celebrities. The idea was inspired by a Dolly Parton course at Eckerd College, and C&U is looking to compile a list with descriptions of similar courses at colleges and universities. Registrars interested in sharing information from their course catalogs about celebrity-inspired courses on their campuses should contact C&U Editor-in-Chief Christopher Tremblay

  • Interviews: C&U is looking to continue its series of interviews with thought leaders in higher education. If you are interested in interviewing inspiring leaders in higher education, please contact C&U Managing Editor Heather Zimar

The Global Context: SEMQ seeks authors to write pieces representing a range of international perspectives in strategic enrollment management. Writers interested in contributing to this column should contact Managing Editor Heather Zimar.
