Unless otherwise noted in a specific report, the AACRAO member institution size, type and control categories are based on the following definitions and sources: 
The enrollment value used to delineate the institution's size category is defined as full-time enrollment plus 1/3 of part-time enrollment and is based on the enrollment reported by the institution to the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). 
Institution type and control values are also defined by and verified through NCES criteria.

Snapshot Impact Survey #1: AACRAO is developing guidance on a range of topics in support of institutions of higher education need to adjust, review and consider many of their practices in light of the impact of COVID-19 on normal operations. To help us develop this guidance and our members understanding of how other institutions are responding to COVID-19, we will deploy a series of rapidly developed practice impact surveys. This is the first of those surveys and focused primarily on grading and transcript practices but also asked questions about commencement and/or convocation.
