About the Job

POSITION SUMMARY

The ASCEND Leadership Development Program seeks experienced coaches to mentor a diverse cohort of mid-career professionals. Coaches will provide guidance and support to accelerate ASCEND Scholars into strategic enrollment management and academic records leadership roles.

    About You

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

    • Current or former Registrar, Associate/Assistant Vice President or higher role in Enrollment Services

    • Extensive experience in strategic enrollment management planning preferred

    • Deep appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusive leadership

    • Growth mindset and commitment to developing others

    • Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills

    • Experience facilitating training or developmental workshops is a plus

    Time Commitment

    • 9-month commitment to the ASCEND cohort cycle

    • 2-4 hours per month for check-ins, meetings, and feedback

    Responsibilities

    • Attend monthly coach meetings to discuss scholar progression and receive program updates

    • Commit to monthly check-ins with your scholar via phone/video and ongoing email communication

    • Support your scholar and other scholars as they collectively work on their team SEM capstone project

    • Explore topics such as career goals, skill development needs, higher education experience, and more with your paired scholar

    • Provide honest and constructive feedback to your scholar

    • Serve as a sounding board for issues related to the scholar's professional development

    • Facilitate connections and expand your scholar's networking opportunities

    • Build a trusting coaching relationship by modeling integrity and maintaining confidentiality

    • Inspire, motivate, and advise your scholar, drawing from your expertise and leadership experience
