The 2017–18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) season will begin earlier than previous FAFSA application cycles

Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

Join AACRAO's Asian American and Pacific Islander Caucus for a discussion of the 2023 book "Yellowface" by R.F. Kuang, a *Reese's Book Club* pick and a *Goodreads* Choice Award Winner for Best Fiction (2023). "Yellowface" covers themes of diversity and cultural appropriation in the format of a thrilling murder mystery. This discussion will focus on several themes from the book and encourage participants from all backgrounds to connect these themes to their lived experiences.

Please note the discussion will be segmented into spoiler-free and spoiler-alert sections for those participants who would like to join before finishing the book. (This session will not be recorded to encourage genuine participant interaction).
