This is the third AACRAO chief admissions officer career profile report; the first and second were completed in 2014 and 2017.

This is the third AACRAO chief admissions officer career profile report; the first and second were completed in 2014 and 2017. The AACRAO career profile series consists of reports on chief admissions officers (CAdO)1, chief enrollment management officers (CEMO), and registrars. The two primary purposes of this series of reports are: 1) to build a longitudinal understanding of the career profile and position responsibilities for these three positions; and 2) to provide those seeking an equivalent position an understanding of the typical career path for doing so.

We would like to acknowledge the 299 CEMOs who responded to the survey during this time of extraordinary disruption and change. Thanks to their willingness to share their time, this report provides a quantified look at the functions and career paths of CEMOs.
