Ted R. McKown, II is the Senior Associate Director of Transfer Enrollment and Articulation in the Office of Admissions at Kent State University. McKown also serves as an adjunct instructor in the College of Education, Health and Human Services where he has taught courses on international students. He is also a visiting lecturer for the College of Communication and Information where he facilitates cultural simulations in intercultural communications. He has 27 years of higher education administration experience. McKown completed his Ed.S. in higher education administration at Kent State University where his research focused on the academic integration of international students. He received a master’s in counseling at Cairn University and a bachelor’s of business administration and marketing from The University of Akron. McKown has held multiple leadership positions at the regional and national level for NAFSA and AACRAO and is a past recipient of the Distinguished Staff Employee Award in Cross-Divisional Teamwork at Kent State University.
