AACRAO Elections Position Statement (2024-2025 Nominations & Elections Committee)
I have had a long and impactful career within the Registrar's Office at Lorain County Community College since 2000. With a focus on advocating for community college needs and supporting students' futures, I served as a consultant for the Ohio Department of Higher Education for the state-wide Transfer Coding Project, and my role in creating state-wide programs like Transfer Assurance Guide (TAG) and Career-Technical Assurance Guide (CTAG) demonstrating my dedication to improving higher education for students across the state.
My interest in serving on the Nominations and Elections Committee for AACRAO is to ensure that the voices and needs of 2-year institutions are represented at the national level. If elected, my goal is to have a strong voice of 2-year institutions in AACRAO's future and it would be a valuable contribution to the organization and to the field of higher education as a whole.
