AACRAO Elections Position Statement (Vice President at Large)

Thank you for your consideration for the Vice President at Large, AACRAO. I am running for this position to expand my involvement with AACRAO as I have been heavily involved with my state ACRAO for many years and I am looking to broaden my professional experience. I have been engaged with AACRAO most recently by serving on the 2022-23 Nominations & Elections Committee and completing the Strategic Enrollment Management Endorsement in April. I have also been involved through presentations, a presenter in webinars as well a co-authoring a chapter in the State & Regional Associate Guide. I have experience with a diverse array of institutions not only throughout my professional career (community college/private and public 4 year; graduate school) but also serving on the Michigan ACRAO executive leadership track in getting to know my colleagues from around the state and understanding the different types of institutions that the organization represents. I believe that is it essential in understanding the needs the different types of higher education institutions that AACRAO services in order to have representation that is passionate, engaged and willing to lead AACRAO to new heights as the landscape of our work changes. I feel that over my higher education career, I have met and developed wonderful relationships with people and can be an asset to the leadership team of AACRAO by being considered for the Vice President at Large.
