topic.

A Discussion on Evaluating and Awarding Credit for Prior Learning
Join other colleagues to discuss how various institutions are evaluating and awarding credit for prior learning. All levels of experience with credit for prior learning are welcome.
Discussion Questions
- How do you demonstrate the value of Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) to stakeholders at your institution?
- Have you encountered pushback on CPL from faculty or administrators, and how do you deal with that pushback?
- What boundaries around CPL has your institution implemented? (Examples: only lower-division credit, maximum credit amounts, only elective credits, program limitations, etc.)
- Who is responsible for reviewing CPL at your institution and what CPL methods are used at your institution? (Examples: portfolio review, challenge exams, ACE recommendations, etc.)
- How are you documenting CPL in your Student Information System and on your transcripts?
