Lessons Learned from the 2020 Census

June 10, 2022

Free Webinar | 2:00-3:00 pm ET

Because of COVID-19, many students were sent home during the spring of 2020. They were not living in student housing at the time when the Census historically started its outreach to institutions of higher education. Historically, college/university contact persons mainly select methods that allow students to self-respond. However, due to COVID-19, other individuals, such as registrars and other administrative personnel, had to provide information to the Census on behalf of the students using administrative records. Obviously, this was not the ideal situation.

In anticipation of the forthcoming 2030 Census, the Bureau recently reached out to AACRAO to facilitate a listening session with higher education institutions and receive feedback about the process or processes that institutions used to provide information to the Census. They are especially interested in hearing what worked and what didn’t work.

This conversation takes place on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (est). To reserve your spot, RSVP here.
