Bruce Clemetsen is vice president of student affairs at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in students affairs and enrollment management experience. Dr. Clemetsen provides a focus on educational partnerships as a critical element of institutional enrollment management. He has written, presented at and consulted on community college–university partnerships. In 2009, Bruce and Bob Bontrager, executive director of AACRAO Consulting, co-edited the AACRAO publication, Applying SEM at the Community College. Bruce has served as a strategic enrolment management advisor on the Oregon Community College Student Success Oversight Committee since its inception in 2008.

Dr. Clemetsen has a doctoral degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University, a master’s in College and University Administration from Michigan State University, and a bachelor’s degree from Willamette University. He is an Assistant Professor at Oregon State University in the College Student Services Administration master’s program and in the Community College Leadership doctoral program.

Lee Furbeck is senior associate director of admissions at the University of Kansas. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of transfer recruitment and transfer credit policy. Lee founded and currently serves as chair of the University’s Transfer and Articulation Policy Council. She also influences transfer policy at the state-level as institutional representative to the Kansas Board of Regents Transfer and Articulation Advisory Council. For the past five years, Lee has directed AACRAO’s annual Transfer Conference as well.

Dr. Furbeck received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from the University of Kentucky. She received a doctoral degree in English/Early American Literature from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She frequently writes about, presents on, and serves as a consultant regarding transfer issues. While she is no longer an active literary critic, she does host insightful book club meetings.

Alicia Moore is currently the dean of Student and Enrollment Services for Central Oregon Community College. She has more than 20 years of experience in student services, with primary experience in admissions and records-related areas, including marketing and advertising, publication design/writing, recruiting and one-stop program/service development. Most recently, she served as the director of Admissions/Registrar for COCC, where through her collaborative efforts the campus achieved a record 12% enrollment growth in just two years. During her tenure at COCC, Moore’s accomplishments include development of a comprehensive one-stop service center, including admissions, registration, student account/bursar and financial aid, placement testing, and academic advising; a redesign of college transition programs to include a mandatory pre-advising workshop for all students, and a new student summer orientation program; development of a comprehensive student life and support services program; and design and construction of COCC’s campus center and residence hall. Moore is active with AACRAO, SEM, and other professional associations and conferences, consulting, and presenting and writing on topics including strategic enrollment management, assessment, business process mapping, and community college marketing and recruiting. Alicia earned her master’s degree in student personnel administration from Colorado State University, and a bachelor’s degree in communications and Spanish from Willamette University. She anticipates completion of her Ph.D. in community college leadership from Oregon State University in spring 2016.
