Catherine Dubé is the Director of Student Risk and Judicial Affairs at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) in Surrey, B.C., Canada. She has an M.A. in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University, is a certified Canadian Risk Manager, and has supplemental training in risk/threat assessment, mediation, restorative practice, and conflict resolution. She has more than nineteen years of experience in postsecondary education, and developed a student conduct program at KPU that included a philosophical shift from punitive approaches to educational opportunities for students. The program addressed incidents of nonacademic misconduct, incorporating restorative practices and alternatives for addressing conflict. Dubé presents at conferences on matters related to student judicial affairs, has worked as a consultant for other universities and colleges on such matters, and volunteers for the Abbotsford Restorative Justice and Advocacy Association.

Jody Gordon currently serves as the Vice President, Students and Enrollment Management, at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. Formerly, Ms. Gordon held the position of Associate Vice President, Students at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Ms. Gordon has worked in postsecondary since 1992, beginning her career at Simon Fraser University before joining KPU in 1998 and UFV in 2012. In addition to Ms. Gordon’s current administrator role at UFV, she has taught first-year criminology students. Ms. Gordon completed a first-class honors bachelor of arts degree in 1992 and a master of arts degree in 1996 from Simon Fraser University. She was selected as the recipient of the 2009 Strategic Enrollment Management Award of Excellence in the Canadian Institutions category, an award cosponsored by AACRAO and Education Systems Inc.
