One of our most popular pre-conference workshops is returning to SEM this year.  Stephen McKellips will be doing another workshop and breakout session focused on maximizing net tuition revenue.   This webinar will be a sneak peek at both sessions and a primer on the topic of net tuition revenue.

Nothing may be more universally important in the academy than the need to generate more headcount with the understanding that doing so will infuse more net tuition revenue for the institution. But, what if that doesn’t really happen? Even if every institution in the country could grow like it wants to, has your institution asked the question as to whether or not that enrollment growth would produce more revenue after all?

This session is about what happened when one person looked under the hood at the institution with the blessing of the administration and what he found. Embedded practices at the institution including hard-coded software programming, institutional policies, and missed opportunities to investigate the truth behind anecdotal evidence that was bantered about unlocked an entirely different reality about how the net tuition revenue the campus is collected and moves through the institution. The lesson proved pivotal to exposing the origin of financial shortfalls and distorted realities between headcount and once-expected revenue that the organization was always trying to wrangle.

A little bit of internal investigation can change the entire course of your institution. Of course, your institution may not suffer these struggles, but would you know how to check? Does anyone at your campus? Even those institutions that do not appear to be financially vulnerable can struggle with process and policy in ways that suppress the bottom line. Let’s talk about it.
