The AACRAO career profile series consists of reports on chief admissions officers (CAO), chief enrollment management officers (CEMO), and registrars.

The AACRAO career profile series consists of reports on chief admissions officers (CAO), chief enrollment management officers (CEMO), and registrars. The two primary purposes of this series of reports are: 1) to build a longitudinal understanding of the career profile and position responsibilities for these three positions; and 2) to provide those seeking an equivalent position an understanding of the typical career path for doing so.

Unless otherwise noted in a specific report, the AACRAO member institution size, type and control categories are based on the following definitions and sources:

The enrollment value used to delineate the institution's size category is defined as full-time enrollment plus 1/3 of part-time enrollment and is based on the enrollment reported by the institution to the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
