AACRAO Joins Community Letter Opposing Proposal to Rescind Regulations for International Education Programs and the Fulbright-Hays Program

AACRAO joined over twenty other higher education groups in raising concerns with the Education Department’s proposal to completely rescind the current regulations, without a replacement regulatory framework, for International Education Programs and the Fulbright-Hays Program. This proposal comes at the exact moment these programs are being transitioned to the Department of State under an Interagency Agreement, contributing to immense operational confusion, undermining a clear mandate established by Congress, and directly compromising essential programs designed to safeguard American national security.
