Rachel Rená Maddux has been involved in higher education for over 20 years. Prior to that she worked as an auditor in the government sector. Her focus has been on student support and the undergraduate experience. Her research interests include access, retention, and state higher education structures. Rachel currently serves as director of enrollment research and initiatives for the Strategic Enrollment Management Division at Virginia Commonwealth University.
