As admissions counselors expanded their footprint in online spaces to connect with prospective students and families during COVID-19, the same has been done by many institutions—for years and long before the pandemic—with digital swag. This study will provide a baseline from which enrollment managers can understand how “digital swag” is being used and whether such an approach would be beneficial for their institution.

Zachary W. Taylor, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of education at the University of Southern Mississippi. His research broadly examines linguistics, technology, and equity within higher education.

Joshua Childs, Ph.D, is an assistant professor in the Educational Policy and Planning program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy at The University of Texas at Austin. His research examines the role of interorganizational
networks and cross-sector collaborations to address complex educational issues.
