AACRAO Executive Director Mike Reilly has announced his intention to retire in June of 2021.
“I’ve enjoyed my work immensely here at AACRAO; it’s been the pinnacle of my career,” Reilly said. “I’m in a fortunate position where I can do this and feel that AACRAO is well-positioned for a new leader to be successful. I’ve bought an acreage in eastern Washington where I first started my career in admissions and where I still have a core group of friends from my graduate school days. And there is space for both a garden and a brewery.”
Reilly has served as AACRAO’s Executive Director since 2012. During his tenure, AACRAO has undergone some major transitions and undertaken some unique and exciting projects, such as the purchase of office space in D.C., the development of core competencies and proficiencies, and the Comprehensive Learner Record.
The AACRAO Board of Directors has established a timeline for the search for the new director.
“As we look to the next AACRAO Executive Director we will be providing a number of opportunities for our members and leaders to provide insight and feedback on the qualities that they value in this role and to engage in the process,” Miner
said.
