Among the important dates is the registration period for the Regular PAES exam, which will run from June 1st to July 22nd. Please note that, starting this year and by decision of the Technical Committee for University Access of the University Subsystem, there will no longer be an extended registration period.
The Department of Educational Evaluation, Measurement and Registration (DEMRE) of the University of Chile has already made available to the public the complete calendar of the 2027 Admission Process, where you can check, for example, the days on which the Regular PAES will be applied: Monday, November 30, Tuesday, December 1 and Wednesday, December 2 of this year.
High school graduates currently enrolled in their final year can register between 9:00 AM on Monday, June 1st and 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22nd. To do so, they must access the platform available at demre.cl and acceso.mineduc.cl.
We recommend that you pay attention to the registration dates, since, by decision of the Technical Committee for Access of the University Subsystem (governance of the Access System, made up of seven rectors and headed by the Undersecretary of Higher Education), from this year onwards there will not be an extra registration period.
Leonor Varas, director of the University of Chile’s Department of Measurement, Evaluation and Educational Records (DEMRE), urged students to take note of the following: “Don’t leave your registration for the regular PAES exam until the last minute. Do it calmly and with plenty of time. And don’t be complacent, because while there have traditionally been a few extra days to register, starting this year that will no longer be the case. The portal will close on July 22nd at 1:00 PM, and there will be no chance to register after that,” she emphasized.
PAES Regular results, applications, selection and enrollment
The results of this application will be reported on Monday, January 4, 2027, at 08:00 hours. On the same day, but one hour later (09:00 hours), the application stage will begin, which will extend until Thursday, January 7, 2027, at 13:00 hours.
On Monday, January 18, at noon, you will be able to find out if you were selected for any of your career preferences.
The first registration period will begin on Tuesday, January 19, 2027, and will run until Thursday, January 21. The second registration period will take place between Friday, January 22, and Thursday, January 28, 2027.
Winter Surrender
As you know, since 2022 admission tests can be taken twice a year.
Therefore, the PAES Winter 2026 exam, for the 2027 university entrance exam, will be administered on Monday, June 15, Tuesday, June 16, and Wednesday, June 17. Results will be released on Friday, July 17 at 9:00 a.m.

Each year, DEMRE publishes a series of documents with information to guide you through the ongoing admissions process.
On Monday, June 1st, the Preliminary List of Programs will be uploaded to demre.cl , where you can consult all the programs and academic courses offered by each of the 47 universities in the University Access System. This document will show you where each program is offered, the elective exams required for admission (Sciences and/or History and Social Sciences), and whether the program also requires the PAES Mathematical Competency 2 (M2) exam.
On Thursday, September 24, the Final List of Programs, Vacancies, and Weightings for Admission 2027 will be published . This publication includes details such as the number of vacancies and the weightings established for applying to each program, among other relevant information.
In addition, the Official Publication of University Services and Benefits will be available on demre.cl on Thursday, November 19 , while the Registration Instructions document will be published on Thursday, January 7, 2027 .
