he Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education – Icfes, summoned more than 110,000 people who are taking the first State tests of 2026, who were registered for the Saber 11 calendar B, Pre Saber and Academic High School Validation tests, next Sunday, March 15, starting at 7 a.m.
“At ICFES, we continue to promote values that contribute to the holistic development of students and raise awareness about sustainability. Our standardized tests remain key to measuring the quality of education and guiding the future of thousands of young people. At ICFES, we continue to transform ourselves to be more efficient, but the essence remains: that each student understands the relevance of these tests for their life project and for building a better tomorrow,” stated Elizabeth Blandón Bermúdez , Director General of ICFES.
This Sunday, the Saber 11 Calendar B, Pre Saber, and Validation state exams will be administered in a single day, divided into two sessions—morning and afternoon—using the paper-and-pencil format at various testing sites. A total of 265 testing sites have been set up across 96 municipalities for this day.
In total, more than 83,400 students are scheduled to take the Saber 11 calendar B test, around 25,150 students in 9th and 10th grade for the Pre Saber test, and nearly 3,200 people over 18 years of age who aspire to obtain their high school diploma through the Academic High School Validation.
As part of strengthening the National Government’s inclusion policy, Icfes implemented measures so that more than 1,600 people with disabilities could take the test under appropriate conditions and with the necessary support.
Another relevant fact: among those mentioned are more than 1,960 foreign nationals, including 782 Venezuelans. This figure opens up a valuable opportunity for this population to access the education system and employment opportunities on equal terms.
