Dear Readers,
Where are you going? Where have you been? That’s my way of asking, “How are you doing?” but the literary reference carries the depth of the Joyce Carol Oates short story (dedicated to Bob Dylan), which pries a bit deeper than the rhetorical way that we usually ask when we greet each other and don’t expect an answer besides, “Fine. And you?” If you’re fine, I’m glad, and I hope you’ll share why. Learning about you is part of my professional development. I’m interested in reading what you’re curious about when you’re staring at your inbox (or stuck in that meeting that could’ve been an email), what or who you’re reading or watching to find a new way to approach a recurring problem or replicate a successful outcome, or what you were doing when you discovered a missing detail in a process or policy, and ultimately how the past, present, or future is influencing your professional path. Please email me with a few sentences or bullets to get started. You can choose to be included in an article, contribute your own article, or remain unnamed, humming as an invisible influencer.
