In recent years, especially during the pandemic, the consideration and implementation of test-optional admissions policies continue to increase. As a result, the spring issue of C&U takes a closer look at the test-optional movement.
In a feature article, Christina Pellegrino provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of the impact of test-optional policies on enrollment at national universities. In addition, for the first time in recent C&U history, the leaders of ACT and The College Board, in two interviews, share their perspectives on testing and the college admissions process. Other articles focused on this theme include Julia Trowbridge’s A Barrier-Free Path to Going Test-Optional and Exploring and Communicating Data for Test-Optional Decisions by Steven S. Graunke, Michele J. Hansen, Errol Wint, and Matthew Moody.
This issue also includes:
- The Pathway Toward the Institutionalization of Enrollment Management by Alexandra Cannell Wendt, Donald Hossler, John Braxton, and Wendy Kilgore
