The Director of Enrollment Marketing, Communications, and Visitor Experiences will be responsible for developing the processes and procedures to facilitate the execution of an integrated, effective campus-wide recruitment and enrollment strategy. The director will lead the strategic development and execution of enrollment-focused marketing, communications, and visitor experiences to support achieving the university’s recruitment, admissions, and enrollment goals. The director will develop strategies and tactics to inform and positively impact Academic Services and Enrollment Management (ASEM) and academic colleges’ collective recruitment and matriculation of new students and retention of continuing students.
The Director will primarily develop and support the strategic initiatives of ASEM, which includes the Offices of Admissions, Husker Hub, Scholarships & Financial Aid, and University Registrar, New Student Enrollment and the Nebraska College Preparatory Academy. Pursuant to those goals, the director will oversee the ASEM marketing & communications and on-campus tours & events teams. Additionally, the director will ensure a consistent, impactful communication approach as students’ transition from prospective to enrolled students. The director will be an integral subject matter expert along with numerous university-wide professionals who are challenged to align complimentary enrollment-focused marketing and communication strategies and tactics that elevate the university amongst competitor institutions. Along these lines, the director will assist in the development and management of university’s brand by connecting all strategic recruitment objectives to the overall university marketing and communication strategy.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or related field plus 10 years of progressively responsible and directly related experience in any combination of: strategic process development, marketing, communications or public relations in which experience demonstrates abilities in public relations and organizational communication; Masters degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or related field with 8 years of progressively responsible and directly related experience considered.
- Knowledge of higher education, recruitment, fundraising, project management, strategic communication, public relations and/or recruitment/marketing activities necessary. Experience with higher education marketing.
- Must have excellent written communication, presentation skills, interpersonal and organizational skill.
- Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail essential.
- Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) used in higher education marketing and recruitment (e.g., Slate, Salesforce, TargetX, EnrollmentRX).
- Knowledge of digital platforms (e.g., websites, social media, crowdfunding).
- Knowledge of enterprise marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot).
- Knowledge of visitor centers, campus tours, and/or large event management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
- Experience working with senior leaders in a large and complex organization.
- Knowledge of public university culture and stakeholders desirable. AMA Marketing of Higher Education engagement.
- Collegiate Information and Visitor Services Association (CIVSA) engagement.
- Copywriting skills.
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Knowledge of student recruitment in higher education
