First Time Attendees

We're excited that you're joining us in Columbus, Ohio for your first AACRAO Annual Meeting.

The AACRAO Team and your AACRAO-member colleagues are here to help you make the most of your first conference experience so you join us at AACRAO Meetings for years to come.

 FIRST-TIME ATTENDEE CHECKLIST
  • Register for the AACRAO Annual Meeting.  Make the most of your time in Columbus and consider attending a pre-conference workshop such as "Reg 101/FERPA" or "SEM Core Concepts". 

  • Arrange travel and hotel accommodations.  We encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible.  The AACRAO group rate is only available until the AACRAO block has sold out, which we expect will happen before the priority hotel reservation deadline of March 15, 2024.

  • When making your travel plans, plan to attend the Experience AACRAO event on Sunday, April 7, 3:15 - 4:30 p.m.

  • Plan to attend the First-Timer webinars on March 14 and March 20 (details below).

  • Download the Whova App.  Explore sessions, presenters, and exhibitors.  Create your schedule and start making connections in the Community.  The app is expected to go live by March 25, 2024.

  • Connect with your local State & Regional CRAO. Find out if they're hosting a reception while in Columbus and plan to attend.

If you have any questions about what to expect, how to maximize your time, or anything else related to the Annual Meeting, please join us for this Q&A session with Member Engagement Committee members and AACRAO staff.

A Live Event

April 7 | 3:15 - 4:30 PM |By invitation for First-time Annual Meeting attendees

This event is open to all first-time attendees.  It will provide you with the opportunity to network and engage with other first-time attendees, AACRAO Staff, and AACRAO Ambassadors, who will share tips on getting the most out of the conference and becoming more involved in the association. This college fair-style setting allows you to move between tables to meet ambassadors who share your experiences and interests.
