AANHPI Caucus Book Discussion with the Author: Kuleana by Sara Kehaulani Goo

June 30, 2026

June 30, 2026| 2:00 - 3:00 pm ET

Join AACRAO's Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Caucus for a discussion of the 2025 book Kuleana: A Story of Family, Land, and Legacy in Old Hawai'i featuring the author, Sara Kehaulani Goo. From Goodreads: "Set in one of the world’s most beautiful landscapes, Kuleana is the story of award-winning journalist Sara Kehaulani Goo’s family saga to hold on to her family’s ancestral Hawaiian lands—and find herself along the way." Participants will be able to discuss themes from the book and pose questions to the author herself. We encourage participants to read the book if possible, but those who cannot are still encouraged to attend. The discussion topics will aim to foster connection and understanding based on the lived experiences of all participants. (This session will not be recorded to encourage genuine participant interaction).
