It will take several years to introduce the new digital national final exams in schools.
Ahead of the introduction of the new grading system, the government has tasked the Swedish National Agency for Education with developing a new system for new digital national final exams, which according to the government will begin to be introduced in 2029, but according to the Agency for Education, it can only be implemented gradually from 2031.
This is shown by the Swedish National Agency for Education’s proposal for an implementation plan that is being submitted to the government today and which Ekot has reviewed.
