Of the 13,000 9th grade exams that were re-evaluated, more than seven thousand had their grades changed. This year, the Ministry introduced a mechanism for automatically reassessing exams whose results show discrepancies compared to internal grades. Scores were raised in 4,880 exams.
Of the 13,690 9th-grade exams from the 1st phase that were reassessed, more than half (7,420) had their grades changed, either increasing or decreasing. According to data shared with PÚBLICO by the Ministry of Education this Thursday, of the 5,488 Portuguese exams that were reassessed, the grades increased in 3162 and decreased in 1,317. In Math, 7,708 exams were reassessed: 1,447 students saw their grades increase and 1,127 decreased. These exams account for 30% of the final grade.
