Distribution of Members by Ethnicity

Areas of Member Responsibility

While most of our members work in records and registration (followed by admissions), 85% of members identify at least three areas of work.
Distribution of Institutions by Enrollment

Though enrollment trends can vary, the distribution of our institutions remains much the same year to year. Some schools may grow, while others may see fewer applications, evening out the distribution of our members.
Distribution of Members by Institutional Enrollment

The breakdown of each AACRAO member in relation to their school size is more evenly distributed than the institutions themselves. This is because the larger your institution, the more members slots you are allotted in accordance with your dues, which evens out the representation of those institutions in our membership.
Distribution of Members by Control

More stable than our enrollment breakdowns, the number of institutions that join for each control class has remained much the same over the past decade.
Distribution of Members by Class

AACRAO tries to provide services for all types of institutions regardless of size, control or class. Take a moment to look over the benefits of AACRAO membership to see how we’re serving you.
Institutional Members, United States

More than a third of AACRAOs member institutions come from only 6 states! New York and California each list more than 200 member institutions; those two states alone account for about 17% of our membership.
Institutional Members by Country, Outside the United States

As of June 2016 AACRAO lists 133 international institutions over 33 countries as members. Canada accounts for 67% of international memberships.
