W. Steven Peterson

W. Steven Peterson serves as the Director of Enrollment Retention at Howard University, where he leads strategic initiatives focused on student persistence, re-enrollment, and completion. Prior to his current role, Steven gained experience in higher education administration at institutions including Central State University, where he contributed to enrollment and student services efforts supporting diverse student populations. His professional experience spans admissions, registration, and retention initiatives, with a consistent focus on removing barriers to student success. At Howard University, Steven collaborates across academic and administrative units to enhance the student experience and strengthen pathways to degree completion.
