Rabiatu joined AACRAO as the Media Production Intern in July 2025 before transitioning to her current role as Communications Coordinator. In this role, she supports the association’s communications and marketing efforts through digital communications, content creation, website management, event promotion, and multimedia storytelling.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, with minors in Journalism and Graphic Design, from Frostburg State University. She is currently pursuing dual master’s degrees in Global Affairs (specialization in Culture and Society) and Interdisciplinary Studies (concentration in Women and Gender Studies) at George Mason University.
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Rabiatu now lives in Maryland. Outside of work, you can find her on the tennis court or seeking out her next adventure.
