Nicole Wilson has dedicated more than 20 years to higher education, building a career centered on student success, academic leadership, and institutional service. Although education was not her original career path, her experience teaching business courses part-time at a post-secondary institution sparked a passion for helping students achieve their goals and ultimately transformed her professional trajectory.
Throughout her career, Nicole has served in several leadership roles, including Department Chair, Associate Dean, Dean of Academics, and Dean of Student Services. These positions provided opportunities to collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators in developing strategies that promote student achievement, retention, and academic excellence.
Nicole joined Edward Waters University in 2018 as a member of the Admissions Office. In 2021, following the institution’s transition from Edward Waters College to Edward Waters University, she was appointed as a Designated School Official (DSO). In this role, she supported both domestic and international students while assisting many first-generation college students in navigating the admissions process and pursuing higher education opportunities.
Committed to student development, Nicole also served as an adjunct instructor, teaching Introduction to College courses to first-year students. After five years in Admissions, she was promoted to Distance Education Coordinator, where she worked closely with the Dean of Distance Education to support online learning initiatives. In this role, she collaborated with faculty and students, addressed learning management system (LMS) concerns, and helped resolve classroom technology challenges to enhance the overall learning experience.
In December 2024, Nicole accepted the position of University Registrar at Edward Waters University. In addition to overseeing the administration and integrity of academic records, she serves as a School Certifying Official (SCO), assisting students who utilize Veterans Affairs (VA) educational benefits. Her responsibilities include ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations while providing support to students, faculty, and staff.
Nicole is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and customer service within the Registrar’s Office. She is committed to delivering timely, accurate, and student-centered support while promoting operational effectiveness and institutional integrity. Her passion for student success, leadership, and service continues to guide her contributions to higher education and the communities she serves.
