Dr. Edna Jones Miller is a distinguished practitioner whose 20-year career in higher education reflects an unwavering commitment to student access and success. A visionary and highly accomplished senior administrator, she has served with excellence in a variety of roles including college instructor, administrator, enrollment strategist, and published scholar. She is widely recognized for pioneering transformational student services as the inaugural Dean of Students at Valencia College’s Downtown Campus. In this role, she co-led the creation of a first-of-its-kind joint Student Affairs partnership with the University of Central Florida (UCF), establishing an integrated model that became a national exemplar.
Currently serving as Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management and Partnerships, Dr. Miller leads enrollment strategy across outreach, recruitment, dual enrollment, and K–12 partnerships. She is also a Maxwell Leadership Certified coach and trainer, and her service spans scholarship and professional leadership. She is a published writer, has served on editorial boards, and has held state, regional, and national roles within her professional associations. Her work has earned prestigious honors, including the National Community Colleges Professional Award (NASPA), Outstanding Community College Professional Award (NASPA Region III), the National Mid-Level Community of Practice Outstanding Research, Contribution, and/or Scholarship Award (ACPA), National Advisor of the Year (APCA), Most Outstanding Senior at the University of South Florida (USF), Orlando Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, the USF Distinguished Alumni Young Educator Award, and Onyx Magazine’s Women on the Move Honoree.
