Cori Hanson

Dr. Cori Hanson has over 15 years of experience in higher education administration, with a focus on strategic enrollment management, academic advising, and student success. She currently serves in a senior leadership role leading large-scale student affairs, advising, and student success portfolios within a large, decentralized faculty at the University of Toronto, supporting over 30,000 undergraduate students. Cori leads the development and implementation of strategies that support recruitment, transition, retention, and progression, working in partnership with academic and administrative leadership. Her work emphasizes building coordinated, scalable support systems that improve the student experience and outcomes across complex organizational structures. Cori is a member of AACRAO and the Canadian Association of College & University Student Services, and she serves on the editorial board of the Journal of The First-Year Experience & Students in Transition. Cori earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where she teaches in the Higher Education program.
