Position Statement
I have worked in Registrar’s offices since I was an undergraduate student worker, but it was only in the last few years since I started getting connected to AACRAO and my state organization I have understood the profound impact that a strong professional community can have on my development.
Since attending the Annual Meeting as a first-timer in 2023, I have steadily increased my engagement with the association: presenting at annual meetings, participating in caucus meetings and webinars, serving on the Member Engagement and Small Colleges Committees, and expanding my AACRAO network. When I was named President Elect of NACRAO (Nebraska) in 2024, it deepened my sense of responsibility to make available to others the types of professional development opportunities that I have benefited from myself. At every step of my journey, I have been impressed by the warmth and encouragement I’ve received from my peers.
I am a strong believer in AACRAO’s ability to facilitate community, learning, and personal growth. If selected, I would seek to improve voter participation across member segments and ensure that the vast and wonderful diversity of persons and institution types within AACRAO is fully represented by our leadership structure. This association is only as strong as we build it, together, through our collective engagement and participation. AACRAO has made me a more capable and confident professional, and I want to help ensure that opportunity is extended to as many members as possible.
