Dr. Allan C. Mathew is an enrollment management professional with over a decade of experience in graduate and undergraduate admissions. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions at Rochester Institute of Technology where he oversees the undergraduate and graduate admissions teams.
Prior to RIT, he served as Senior Director of Graduate Admissions at Tufts University, successfully overseeing admissions and recruitment for the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and the School Engineering, driving growth in applications and enrollments. In addition to RIT and Tufts, Allan has held leadership roles at the University of Texas at Dallas, a large public R1 institution, and Messiah University, a small liberal arts institution in central Pennsylvania. Allan is a leader in enrollment management and specializes in optimizing the admissions processes, critically thinking about care and advocacy through student-centered recruitment, and leveraging data-driven marketing and technology to enhance institution and student engagement in the admissions process.
Allan holds a PhD in Higher Education; his research focuses on race and representation in enrollment management and higher education leadership. He is an adjunct professor, published scholar, and speaker at national conferences. He is also a father, brother, son of immigrants, and partner who loves golf, eating delicious food, and rooting for all things Philadelphia (Go Birds!)!
