Dear Readers,
Last week, I sat with my four-year-old niece, helping her spell out and sound out the motivational phrase “way to go.” It was printed in cursive on a party balloon, and the cursive letters were challenging for her to identify at first. However, she persevered with each squiggly letter until she got it, and we celebrated, saying “way to go!” together throughout the day.
This week is my niece’s first entrance into pre-kindergarten, and I hope she carries that spirit as she begins her learning journey at school.

Because showing up for learning every day takes grit …
Way to go!
