Welcome to the new AACRAO website. While the site is live, development is ongoing, visitors can expect updates and new features in the weeks ahead.

Dear Readers,

Watching my hyacinths bloom makes me wonder about the word “evolution“—from “evolvere,” meaning “to unroll,” like a scroll revealing what is written inside. The words scroll, enroll, and evolve are somewhat connected, all carrying the energy of unrolling a document to reveal what’s inside. And now I wonder, is every enrollment an act of evolving, too? Our aspirational and professional lives can unroll much the same way. You’ll find stories about the evolving bachelor’s degree and what it’s becoming, professionals stepping into leadership, reflecting on accomplishments, and colleagues who carried our field’s priorities straight to the Capitol. We’re hovering on the edge of March, about to welcome April. May this spring season help you evolve a little further.

In this issue:

With appreciation,

Autumn Walden
