AACRAO Seeks New Editor in Chief for C&U

AACRAO is seeking an Editor in Chief for the journal College & University (C&U), AACRAO’s education policy and research journal focusing on emerging concerns, new techniques, and technology in higher education.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct first review of manuscripts submitted as feature articles and determine if the subject matter is appropriate for the journal.
- Send selected manuscripts to two or three reviewers.
- Review comments from reviewers, accept or reject manuscripts for publication. Notify authors of rejected manuscripts.
- Compile and send reviewer comments to authors of manuscripts accepted for publication, establish date for resubmission of the manuscript, review final submission.
- Send final version of feature articles to managing editor for copy editing and publication.
- Read articles submitted for the forum section and collaborate with the managing editor to determine the articles that will be published.
- Coordinate content with the Editor in Chief of the SEM Quarterly journal.
- Solicit articles of interest to the membership.
- Conduct sessions at conferences, encourage presenters to write for publication.
- Select members to serve on the Editorial Board.
- Oversee the preparation of the yearly index.
