Students at the National Open and Distance University (UNAD) registered for the Saber Pro and Saber TyT exams for the second semester of 2026 will have to take the exam on October 18. The exam, initially scheduled for September 6, was rescheduled by the ICFES (Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education) due to the national emergency and the damage caused by the earthquake.

The Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (ICFES) announced on August 19 the modification of the schedule for the application of the Saber Pro and Saber TyT tests corresponding to the second semester of 2026. The decision impacts students of professional and technological programs close to completing their academic process and who are registered to take these evaluations.

According to the entity, the application of the tests will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026 , in a day that contemplates the participation of 180,929 people registered in 341 sites enabled throughout the national territory.

The rescheduling is due to difficulties in ensuring the necessary conditions for administering the tests, after the earthquake affected several institutions located in the affected areas. Some of these facilities were designated as testing venues.

With this adjustment, ICFES seeks to guarantee equitable conditions for all participants and verify that the new application sites have the infrastructure and security conditions required to carry out the day.

Please note the new dates.

Students should pay attention to the new schedule:

  • October 2, 2026: Publication of new exam invitations.
  • October 18, 2026: Administration of the Saber Pro and Saber TyT exams.
  • From November 9, 2026: Access to the digital certificate of attendance.
  • February 19, 2027: Publication of individual results.

For this reason, UNAD students must consult and download their summons again starting October 2nd, as this information will allow them to confirm the place, date and time assigned for the exam.

During the day of October 18, ICFES will give attendees a physical certificate of presentation, a document that can be used as proof before the University for the graduation processes, provided that the student meets the other academic requirements established for their program.

Subsequently, the digital certificate of attendance will be available from November 9, 2026, and individual results can be viewed and downloaded from February 19, 2027.

What should UNAD students do?

Those who are registered are advised to:

  • Check and download their exam notification again starting October 2nd.
  • Verify the assigned location and time for the exam in advance.
  • Arrive on October 18, 2026, at the indicated location.
  • Keep the physical certificate issued during the exam.
  • Check the digital certificate of attendance starting November 9th.
  • Download individual results starting February 19, 2027.
  • Stay tuned to communications from ICFES and UNAD.

To resolve concerns related to the tests, students can contact their school’s delegate or consult the UNAD Saber Pro and Saber TyT Delegates Directory.
